- Follows Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway tracks across Indiana.
- Passes over Vermilion, Ohio at approximately 11:23 a.m. Eastern time.
- Flies over snow-covered Cleveland at 6,000 feet.
- Passes Erie and breaks Victor Carlstrom’s record.
- Lands on racetrack in Hornell with empty gas tank at 2:10 p.m., establishing new American non-stop record (512 miles).
- Takes off from Hornell at 3:24 p.m. and barely clears the trees.
- Lands on farm in Binghamton at 4:20 p.m. unable to continue in dark.
- Takes off at 7:23 a.m. on November 20th into dense fog.
- Looks for water landmarks, which are easiest to see from air (e.g. Delaware River).
- Spots Port Jervis!
- Hits Hudson River around Haverstraw, then follows it south.
- Swoops down and lands on Governors Island at 9:37 a.m.
